Crafting a Branding Strategy

To bring to life the vibrant essence of Aloha Bodyworks, a dynamic mobile bodywork therapy service, and develop a branding strategy that overflows feelings of well-being, enthusiasm, and the Aloha spirit.

Outcome

The project resulted in a vivid and distinct brand design that strategically defined Aloha Bodyworks. The logo conveyed the brand's dynamic and lighthearted personality, while the color palette and typography reflected the leisure atmosphere and the Aloha culture. The brand assets helped to establish a consistent and visually appealing brand experience across multiple touchpoints.

Brand Research

Before developing branding concepts I connected with the client to understand the client's key values, target audience, and competitive landscape. Here's what I learned.

After doing some research I learned about some unique features of Aloha Bodyworks, its services, mobile capabilities and its Aloha-style approach to wellness and hospitality.

I then completed a quick competitor analysis confirming existing branding strategy in the shared marketplace.

Look and Feel

To lock down the look and feel of the brand, I presented a few mood boards that reflected the Aloha Bodyworks story and key values. Here’s what we discussed.

To build a mood board, I did a quick mindmap identifying images and emotions related to “Aloha Bodyworks,” utilizing resources like Pinterest.

I also referenced sites like Behance and Dribbble for related visual inspiration and styling for "Aloha Bodyworks."

Concept and Development

Using the insights gained from the research, I brainstormed several logo variations, exploring different typography and imagery. Here's what was shared.

Using the moodboards as guides I quickly sketched multiple concepts of the "Aloha Bodyworks" logo using Procreate.

After a few rounds of feedback on the concepts, we landed on a few logos to develop into higher-fidelity concepts in Illustrator.

Color Palette / Style Guide

To establish a cohesive brand identity, I selected a color palette that conveyed relaxation and the spirit of Aloha along with a comprehensive style guide. Here's what was delivered.

I incorporated the client's input and made the necessary revisions. The final brand identity package was delivered in several formats including pdf, vector and jpg.

Finally a color palette that reflected the Aloha Bodyworks spirit was included in the brand style guide to be used to maintain brand consistency on different mediums.

Mock-Ups

Additionally, several mock-ups were presented to the client to envision future business and growth opportunities enabled by this entire process.
